Barbie ,Infomercials ,and Warp Speed

So I think this is going to be a long post. For me anyways. And it's pretty much going to be about everything. In my life. Will it be in the order of the title? Probably not.

But it most likely will. And just to make sure you stick around to read this (probably) lame post, here are some things I will talk about: Shyanne, Infomercias, Television, Dinosaurs, How Warp Speed Works, Waist Trimmers, and my plans for the SUMMER!

I would just like to start off by saying that after Aaron and Korina moved it, Shyanne now sleeps in my room. And lately, she has been really into Barbies. Her favorite movies are probably Barbie and the Magic of Pegasus and Barbie in Swan Lake.

So on Sunday morning I wake up, and she's on the bottom bunk just talking about Barbies. And no one else is even down there. She was saying things like "I like Barbies. Let's play with Barbies You like Barbies? Barbies."

It was cute, but I was so tired.

But you know what else. I still love paper dolls.

And you know what else? I enjoy watching infomercials. More than a normal amount. Which is zero. But I'll be flipping through the channels and won't stop for any regular shows, but once I see an infomercial I stop and watch watch the whole thing.

RIDICULOUS

So yeah. I also enjoy watching the History Channel. I learned about the Black Plague last week. And I also REALLY enjoy Doctor Who. I can't even believe how amazing that show is. And every time I watch it I think "How did I never find this sooner?" Because I love sci-fi. and science. Well, not all the equations and stuff. But things like the sky and dinosaurs and how different things are made and I hate math.

But you know what else? Velociraptors had feathers. Yeah. FEATHERS. Their bones and fossils have those little bumps on them that feathered animals have. Yeah. FEATHERED ANIMALS.

And in Star Trek, when they used Warp Speed, the way that it worked was by warping the space around them. Since nothing can travel faster than light, they didn't. They expanded the space behind them and compacted the space in front of them. So really, they didn't have to move faster than light because they just moved their destination closer. I thought that was cool.

But you know what else? Yesterday I went to Fry's because I needed some things, and then Crystal and I went to the 99Cent Store and guess what we saw? Those waist trimmers. Like the one at Ross that you wrap around your tummy to make you look skinny and lose weight? Well yeah. We bought those.

Anyways. My plans for the summer. Well, Camp and the Trek are in the same month this year, and the Trek is the week I get back from camp or something. Which, I am now a 4th year. So I will be hiking A LOT.

Also because us YW will be hiking every Saturday (almost) in the morning to condition ourselves. But I am excited for the Trek. It's this stakes 4th one, and I am SO EXCITED TO GO. I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS SINCE THE MOMENT I TURNED TWELVE.

Unfortunately, twelve year olds get to come. But still. I'm excited. Hopefully I get a good family that isn't full of a bunch of snobby girls and un-hot guys.

And I really wish that Doctor Who was still on right now. It comes on at three, which is perfect because that's around the time I get home. It used to come on at two, so I never got to watch it. :/

Oh and Alicia- I have your blue shorts. Actually I'm wearing them right now. Isn't it ironic that you STOLE my blue tank top and now I'm wearing your blue shorts?

Hmmmm.... Interesting.... ;)

The Joy of Having Lindsey Home (and Alicia)

When Lindsey gets sick, you can have all KINDS of fun!

And when she's not sick. But mostly when she is.

Last night Lindsey, Mom, and I had a karaoke party. I danced to almost every song, as I am pretty much the BEST. DANCER. EVER. And I sang a duet with my momma. A song that I didn't even know, and it was great. Mostly because I am really good at faking. And everyone wants me to join theatre or try out for the play, but I won't. That is TOO many people to perform for.

Also, we watched Psych stuff almost all night. And by "all night" I mean "until 12:10". And an episode of Veronica Mars. But mostly the comic genius of Psych. Not to mention Lindsey took drugs on account of her sickness. So the whole DAY was pretty much an adventure.

I did discover, however, that my mom pretty much only pays attention to ME. I tried to get Jacob to throw away my Capri-Sun packet, and he said no and sat down JUST so he wouldn't have to. Then he threw LINDSEY'S away, so I threw mine at him and my mom yelled at me.

Later, Lindsey kept making all these faces at me and she made a noise so I would look at her. When I asked "What are you DOING?" my mother finally looked, finally aware that the lady trying to buy a third wedding dress didn't require her full attention.

Because I did.

It was also fun to have Alicia back, but she left last Sunday. At least after everyone has left I can resume my position as Kyle and Shyanne's favorite aunt. (:
